BSIO Speaker Series - May 2022

The BSIO would like to invite you to the May Edition of our Speaker Series, dedicated to Advances in Cancer Immunotherapy.

For the first talk, taking place on Wednesday, May 18th, at 4 pm CEST, we invited Prof. John Anderson, GOSHCC Professor of Experimental Paediatric Oncology and  Honorary Consultant Paediatric Oncologist at the UCL Great Ormond St Institute of Child Health in London, to give a talk titled “Approaches to targeting childhood solid cancers with immune therapies”.

For the second talk, taking place on Wednesday, May 25th, at 4 pm CEST, we invited Prof. Wilson W. Wong, who is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Boston University (USA). Prof. Wong’s research focuses, among other things, on predictably engineering CAR-T-cells to improve outcomes in immunotherapy – hence, his talk will concern “Engineering CAR circuits”.
